Born and raised an hour east of Chicago in South Bend, Indiana, Denny picked up the guitar at age eleven and still hasn’t put it down.  Influenced by an incredibly diverse group of musicians and sounds, he says he is a melting pot of everything he’s ever heard.

Over the years, his music has caused him to stay in places as different as Northern Indiana, Chicago, Phoenix, Az., and Montréal, Qc.  In February, 2007, he, his wife and three children uprooted from the midwest and relocated to an eastern suburb of Montréal, Qc, a permanent move for them.

Denny’s earliest interests in the guitar were sparked by the likes of Elvis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins.  Later on his interest in British Blues directed him to the Chicago sounds that were in his own back yard the whole time:  Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Buddy Guy along with some personal guidance and tutelage from Luther Allison.  Eventually, he became fortunate enough to play with and meet some of those hero’s, and perform as opening act for many (a list is available here).

Today, at the height of his powers, Denny’s music continues to evolve.  In March of 2009, he released his 8th disc, titled "Full Circle".  It is a collection of 13 songs in many variations of electric and acoustic settings.   This, his first product of Québec, was engineered and co-produced by Montréal blues icon Rick L Blues, who also made a couple of appearances with his tasteful harmonica playing and backing vocals.   The band for this project consists of the original Montréal band that Denny first began playing with in the mid 90's, being Simon Meilleur on drums and his longtime partner Lindsay Pugh (who also played Bass on the Rendez-Vous Blues and Moving On...discs) laying down the Bass line.   Additional help was provided by Cliff Alloy on drums and djembe, Ivanhoe Jolicoeur on trumpet and Flugelhorn, and the first ever studio appearance of his daughter Lorrie Snyder on backing vocals on two different tracks.  A collection of friends, instruments, amplifiers, and sounds both new and old, this project (Full Circle) is true to it's name!
