I’ve Got to Go

Words & music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder- slide guitar, Lindsay Pugh - Bass, Simon Meilleur- Drums

Well I’ve been from Québec to San Antone and everywhere in between
And if you were a fly on the wall, you’d know just what I mean
Well sometimes I get real restless, and I need a change of scene
You see it’s not an act of selfishness, it’ll keep my business clean
I’ve got to go, I got to go, I’ve been sittin’ round here thinkin’ too much,
I really have got to go
I’ve got to go, I gotta go, now don’t you be getting’ me wrong,
It’s just time to be moving on

Well I woke up this mornin’ and a headache’s a warnin’ that it ain’t gonna be my day
It seems I ran out of good ideas, and I don’t have a thing to say
Well I’ve been from B.C. to Montréal and many places high and low
After all my life experience there’s only one thing that I know
I’ve got to go, I gotta go, I’ve been sittin’ round here thinkin’ too long,
I really have got to go
I’ve got to go, I gotta go, don’t you be getting’ me wrong,
it’s just time to be moving on

Well I love my life, I’ve had my fun, I make a good time into a song
I’m not one to complain too much, but it seems I’m always on the run
If you think you can help then don’t stop yourself, do a favor for everyone here
Cause when I return I’ll be back on track with the people that I hold dear
I’ve got to go, I gotta go, I ‘ve got to go and play a few notes
I’ve got to be movin’ on
I’ve got to go, I gotta go, It’s good for you and the kiddies too,
it’s time to be movin’ on
I’ve got to go, I gotta go, don’t you be getting’ me wrong
it’s just time to be movin’ on
I’ve got to go, I gotta go , time to go and play a few notes I got to be movin’ on

Change Is Good

Words & music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder – Lead and Rhythm guitars and vocal, Lindsay Pugh - Bass, Cliff Alloy - Drums

Change in the weather makes things grow every day
Change in your language gives you something new to say
Change in your clothes can change the way you feel
Change in the government can change your whole deal
Change is good, yes, change is good
Change is good, yes, change is good

Change what you eat affects your sleep
Change in your dreams helps decide what you need
Change in regulation, change in the law
Play another game, that’s the luck of the draw
Change is good, yes, change is good
Change is good, yes, change is good

If you think too small, you know that’s all you’re gonna get
If you don’t look you won’t see, what might be there for you next

Most change is for the better, sometimes it’s for the worse
Change is the result of what you thought of first
Change in the market makes a new economy
Change in your desire will change what you will be
Change is good, yes, change is good
Change is good, yes, change is good

Delirious Frank

Words & music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder – guitar and slide guitar, Lindsay Pugh- Contrabasse, Simon Meilleur - Drums, Lorrie Snyder – background vocals, Ivanhoe Jolicoeur, trumpet and flugelhorn

I’ve got a friend as strange as can be, he lives like money grows on trees
A self made man he’s got no one to thank, he doesn’t need a car he drives an army tank
Some think he’s crazy but he’s smart as a whip, hides all his money in a bag of chips
Keeps it all in a closet cause he’s got no bills, and if he doesn’t get you you know his big black dog will

Delirious Frank, he knows the situation
Delirious Frank, has a scratch he’s been itchin’
Delirious Frank keeps it under control
You better mind your business when he’s out on patrol

People often wonder how does he stay alive?
He’s got more money than a cow pile has flies
Always acts like he’s got nothin’ to say
But if you see him coming you better start to pray

You may not believe me, but someday you’ll see it
Your only hope is that you won’t be it
The neighborhood kids all stay off of his land
He fills up his pool with cactus and sand

Everybody asks him, “Frank, how do you do it?”
He says “it ain’t nothin’ if you just get down to it”
The whole town wonders what Frank will do next
But whatever it is, you know he’ll give it his best

Some people think that Frank is a crook
Other people say he wrote a famous book
Some people say Frank had a great fall
Still others say he doesn’t exist at all, but I’m tellin ya he’s
Delirious Frank, he’s always there to listen
Delirious Frank, if you don’t know him you’ve been missin’
Delirious Frank always knows what to do
Delirious Frank has got somethin’ for you

Pays Cool

Words Denny R. Snyder & Josée Larose, Music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder- acoustic and electric guitars and vocal, Lindsay Pugh - Bass, Simon Meilleur – Drums,
Rick L. Blues – background vocals

Strongest Man in the World

Words & music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder – Guitar and vocal, Lorrie Snyder – vocals

He doesn’t lift 15 tons of stones a day
And he doesn’t make a whole lot of pay
While others were out building bombs and towers
He was at the market picking out fresh flowers
Where’s the strongest man, strongest man in the world

Like a little baby he cried, when his dear old dog had died
It took a lot to get up that hill, but not enough to weaken his will
Who’s the strongest man, strongest man in the world

Strongest Man, doesn’t lift any weights
He just hopes his wife and kids will be okay, will be okay

Successes come as they may, but for love he threw it all away
Cause he knows there’ll be another day, and he knows about the price he’s got to pay
Who’s the strongest man, strongest man in the world

Strongest man, is never left to stand all alone
Many’s got a house, but he’s got home, home of his own

A simple feeling makes a simple song, and in this world there will be no wrong
Sometimes they get raving mad, but afterwards they still call him Dad
Cause he’s the strongest man, strongest man in the world
Yeah he’s the strongest man, strongest man in the world

Perfectionist Blues

Words & music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder - acoustic and electric guitars and vocal, Lindsay Pugh - Bass, Simon Meilleur – Drums,
Rick L. Blues – harp

Last night we had a party, everyone had a ball
But all you could see was a cobweb on the wall
You’ve got the perfectionist blues, Those get it right blues
Yeah my baby’s got ‘em bad, and me, I’ve got ‘em bad too

The food was fantastic, best of beer and wine,
But you was upset because the mail wasn’t on time
Perfectionist blues, those get it right blues
Well my baby’s got ‘em bad, and me I’ve got ‘em bad, too

Well it’s too hot  it’s too cold, it’s too young it’s too old
And then a gasket blows, that’s the way it always goes
With those perfectionist blues, those get it right blues
Yeah my baby’s got ‘em bad, me I’ve got ‘em bad, too.

Well I don’t like too much work and I get sick of nothing to do
Sometimes it makes me crazy, but I’m just payin’ my dues
Perfectionist blues, get it right blues
You really need to know, sometimes you just got to let go

Kids and Grandma, Aunts and Uncles too,
It all goes around just like a case of the flu
Those perfectionist blues, get it right blues
Day turns into night, and you’re still tryin’ to get it right

The lawn and the laundry, the paint and the sink
The house and the car, I need more ice in my drink
Perfectionist blues, get it right blues
My baby’s got ‘em bad, me I’ve got ‘em bad, too.

Story

Words & music Denny R. Snyder
Denny R. Snyder – Guitar and Vocal, Lindsay Pugh - Bass, Cliff Alloy - Drums

This is a story about doin’ the wash
with someone named Crabby Joe
Along came a wish, soon followed by a squish,
They tried to keep their profile low
They did their work every day, and still had time left to play

The rest of the gang stayed behind to hang,
Back at where this story starts
And though the distance between them was very far,
They all remained close in their hearts, sometimes they made the trip in their cars

Along came LaTussle, who added some muscle,
To make sure they wouldn’t get squashed
His only son Sam didn’t seem to give a damn
But he didn’t want his coolness lost, not at any cost
And Joe made sure their salads were tossed
