Denny Snyder's albums

Full Circle

Denny's latest disc, titled Full Circle was released in March of 2009 and features 13 (six instrumental pieces and seven with vocals) new songs in both electric and acoustic settings. Recorded and produced by Rick L. Blues in St. Hippolyte, Qc (Lac Echo) the first week of January, 2009. Support for this project was provided by Lindsay Pugh on Bass, Simon Meilleur on drums and also includes Denny's daughter Lorrie Snyder singing with him on two of the tracks. Rick L. Blues also plays harmonica on two songs, along with some extra help from drummer Cliff Alloy and Ivanhoe Jolicoeur on trumpet and flugelhorn.

Roots and Branches

Denny's latest release, titled Roots and Branches was released in April, 2006.  It is a great representation of his current show, as his music has come full circle.

A wonderful mix of Blues, Jazz, country, New Age, Gypsy and Flamenco sounds, it's his best effort to date!

Just one guy and a guitar, no frills, just pure fretboard magic and some great message/protest songs.  Be sure to treat yourself of this one.

Eclectic

So here it is, Eclectic. This project is something new and completely different for me.

Most of these songs started as bits and pieces of things I like to play around the house for fun, and then the acoustic guitar itself inspired their completion, as well as the beginnings of many more to follow.

I hope you enjoy this bare-bones music, void of any opinions or agenda. Some peaceful music for a troubled world....

Moving on...

Recorded at Bartlett Recording, this project was done over several sessions in the year 2000. To date, this is the largets ensemble I have put together for a recording.

A very smooth disc with good songs, arrangements, and some very tasteful playing by experienced musicians. With the ever solid David Clawson during his second stint as drummer in the band (the first was in the mid 90's) lasting from 1999 until the U.S. version of the band dissolved in 2006. David teamed with "Lord" Pugh on thunderbass and myself were the regular live band during this period, until a couple of years afterward when Lindsay moved back to Canada.

This disc also features the brilliant piano playing of the late Mickey Larson, whom we all miss dearly as musician and friend. We recieved extra help from Max on congas and percussion, and background vocals by Josée Larose and Crystal "Blue" Miller on track 11 (Water).

Rendez-vous Blues

13 Tracks also recorded live in 1998 at Bartlett recording by Bruce Bartlett in Elkhart, Indiana.

These were very informal sessions, a true blues recording. I presented half of these songs to the band at the studio, having never played them before. This brought about a classic open high energy jam propelled by the legendary Bill "Stix" Nicks behind the drum set, and the now also legendary Lindsay "Lord" Pugh on Bass.

Highlights are the regional hits Slidin' and the Buttkicker! In total contrast, the disc ends with yours truly performing my first recorded version of "Petite Berceuse" on the old National Steel (there is a second version on "Eclectic").
